Heavy, hooded eyes especially those that droop in the outer corners can make you look tired, angry or simply older than your years.

This appearance is the result of descent of the forehead and eyebrows. Brow lift surgery returns the eyebrow to a more youthful position and, in doing so, opens up the orbit giving a fresh, well-rested look.

There are many different brow lift techniques available ranging from minimally invasive, key-hole approaches (endoscopic browlift) to more involved open procedures.

The cost is similar irrespective of the technique chosen. The eyebrows are returned to their youthful position and the muscles between the brows (responsible for frown lines) are weakened so diminishing the depth of central forehead wrinkles.

Brow lift surgery may be performed in isolation or in combination with eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) and/or facelift. Incisions are placed within or along the hairline so are well hidden after the surgery. The elevated deeper tissues are secured to the bone of the skull to prolong the desired effect.

Post-operative pain is minimal and short lived, while swelling and bruising is also usually minimal – allowing for an early return to normal activities. A small surgical drain is removed on the first post-operative day and ointment is applied to the wounds. Showering is permitted on the second night after the procedure and sutures are removed within one week. Brow lift surgery, alone or in combination with other rejuvenating procedures, will help you to look the age you feel.
